The advancement of medical knowledge is based on research. Much research must be done on humans to achieve valid results. The main goal of any research is to promote human health while respecting their dignity and rights. For this purpose, the research should not harm the subjects (humans, animals, drugs, etc.). The purpose of establishing an ethics committee is to observe the necessary standards for research in the field of subjects.

For this purpose, the Organizational Ethics Committee of Kerman University of Medical Sciences started  in 2015 with the aim of issuing a ethical code for all studies and better monitoring the conduct of studies with human subjects.
